AUDITION NOTICE 17/18 January - EOI to close 16 December

In 2016, PABL will begin development on an ambitious new dance and live music work in collaboration with the Melbourne Chamber Orchestra to the scores of Richard Strauss’ Metamorphosen (1945) and John Adams’ Shaker Loops (1978). Artistic director Phillip Adams is responding to the complexities of these two string masterpieces of the last 100 years in an investigation of pure choreographic form.

This is an opportunity for strong technical dancers to work with Phillip over 3 developments in 2016 followed by developments and World Premiere of the work in 2017. 

We are seeking one male dancer to become part of the ensemble, and one female secondment/intern on the project throughout the 2016/2017 stages of development. The ensemble member contract will be paid professional LPA rates and the secondment/intern will be offered an honorarium.

OK dance lovers a unique opportunity is here to work with PABL Artistic Director, Phillip Adams on one of his most ambitious choreographic projects to date. This will be a challenging yet rewarding experience in the studio and a chance to perform live with the Melbourne Chamber Orchestra.
