Apply to be our 2018 Resident Artist
27/07/17
EOI’s are now open to choreographers and artists working in performance and interdisciplinary fields of practice to become the 2018 Resident Artist at Temperance Hall. Our Resident Artist receives a minimum of 150 hours worth of studio space across the calendar year to help develop their artistic ideas and practice. We encourage adventurous and risk-taking proposals and experimental thinking. Your EOI may propose multiple ideas including scope for research, development, workshops, showings, collaboration and presentation. We welcome artists at any stage of the career to apply.
In addition to the space use, our 2018 Resident Artist will be encouraged to engage with the team at PABL on an ongoing basis and will be offered a space to work within the Temperance Hall offices. We would also encourage the resident artist to join the company’s Artistic Subcommittee (a branch of the PABL Board) with meetings held bi-monthly.
EOI’s open 27 July 2017 and close at 5pm, 22 August.
For further information please call us during business hours on (03) 9645 9937. Applicants will be notified of an outcome Tuesday 29 August and an announcement will be made mid-September.
Shortlisted applicants will be invited to meet with Artistic Director, Phillip Adams to discuss their application before a final decision is made.
Download an EOI form here and return it to kristy@balletlab.com no later than 5pm Tuesday 22 August.
