We need your magnificence to transform our future by making a fully tax deductible donation before Tuesday next week!
Your donation – of any amount from $50 and upwards – at this time will support our key projects in 2015-2016 and in particular Smudge.
A note from Phillip:
“Reflecting on 17 years of artistic achievement makes me think about the many and significant contributions from so many artists and supporters in the making of my company.
You have allowed me to present my dance with such gusto and beauty on the world stage, way beyond what my imagination ever conceived.
I am developing a new work called SMUDGE with Australian artist Brook Andrew, that tackles cultural boundaries head first with four performers. We have swapped our usual practices around as choreographer and artist becoming the other; daring each other and asking cultural permission from ourselves in the process. It’s a risk-taking vision. Brook and I will travel to Istanbul for a five week residency in August as the next stage, and I would like to ask if you would please consider an End of Financial Year donation towards this cultural exchange with Brook in Istanbul. It will enable us to work with four Turkish performers excited to participate in the next development of SMUDGE.
What your donation will signal to me is a celebration of creativity, that you helped us to realise this collaboration, that you found it special. Your support is an absolute honour, that we treasure in the studio and beyond. “
